Even knowing that classics never go out of fashion, it is illustrative that a recent article in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Esquire<\/a> magazine signed by Santi Rivas places our <strong>Campeador Reserva <\/strong>2019 as one of the 10 easy-to-drink wines that are \u2018rejuvenating\u2019 Rioja. You can read the full article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esquire.com\/es\/donde-comer-beber\/a62665525\/vinos-buenos-rioja-suaves-faciles-beber\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p>We find it even more surprising that the rest of the wines selected by the critic belong to relatively young or new wineries, with <strong>Bodegas Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta<\/strong> being the only centenary winery (by far) capable of leading what Rivas considers a true \u2018revolution in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin\u2019.<\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/martinezlacuesta.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/Campeador-Reserva-2015-91-327x1024.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8790\" style=\"width:auto;height:400px\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>WHAT DOES ESQUIRE SAY ABOUT CAMPEADOR RESERVA 2019?<\/strong><br\/>Santi Rivas:<br\/><strong>The first variable<\/strong> of this movement is its transversality. As it is a phenomenon that is based on style and not on the typology of the producer, we can find this case, a centenary winery that also joins this party of polished tannins. <\/p>\n\n<p>Because that is the fundamental characteristic of this historic label, which blends Tempranillo and Garnacha in equal parts, to produce one of those reds that won&#8217;t last half an hour in a bottle.
