Bodegas Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta <\/strong> took part in a historic tasting in London<\/strong> on 21 June together with two other Rioja wineries (Marqu\u00e9s de Riscal and Se\u00f1or\u00edo de San Vicente) selected by the Master of Wine Pedro Ballesteros.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It seems that, as we like to say, the great classics are always in fashion. We do not make wines with the express idea of seeking recognition, but when it comes it is because the right path is still ahead of us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the article, signed by Nicole Harreisser, <\/b> Bodegas Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta is depicted as a bastion of tradition and quality in wine production since it was founded in 1895 by Eloy Mart\u00ednez and his son F\u00e9lix in Haro. The writer points out that the winery initially had no vineyards of its own and focused its attention on the ageing and maturing of the wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

De Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta stated that: “During the second half of the 19th century Haro must have been a cradle of prosperity thanks to a wine-growing sector in full expansion. It was a time when F\u00e9lix Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta founded, together with his father, one of the most traditional family wineries in the town of Haro”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And he added: “The most fascinating thing about Bodegas Mart\u00ednez Lacuesta is that its history, before being created, was dreamt and I can’t think of anything more beautiful than drinking dreams”.<\/b> <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
