The prestigious wine critic and Master of Wine Tim Atkin has published his long-awaited Rioja Special Report 2025, an in-depth analysis of the region and its best wines. Known for his demanding criteria and his global vision of the world of wine, Atkin has awarded outstanding scores to our winery, highlighting the quality and personality of our wines.

Martínez Lacuesta Colección Familia Blanco 2015 – 95 points
A white wine with character and elegance
This Gran Reserva de Viura comes mostly from a small plot of one hectare called Arigote. mostly from a small plot of one hectare called Arigote. Fermented in 50% new French oak, it displays aromas of honeysuckle and camomile, with a palate marked by notes of lanolin, almond, pear and citrus. The wood is perfectly integrated, leaving a subtly saline finish. Recommended consumption: 2025-2032.
Martínez Lacuesta Family Collection 2012 – 94 points
Classic in essence, vibrant in expression
Surprisingly fresh for its age, this Gran Reserva red is a blend of Tempranillo, 20% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo from Haro and Villalba. Its aromas of dried leaves and sweet spices give way to an elegant palate, with a refreshing minerality and notes of ripe red fruits. Recommended consumption: 2025-2035.

A refined and well-balanced Reserva
Made from equal parts Tempranillo and Garnacha, this wine takes advantage of an excellent vintage to offer a pure expression of Rioja Alta and Rioja Oriental. Aged in American oak barrels, it is distinguished by its chalky profile, well-integrated tannins and a balsamic character that accompanies the vibrant red fruit. Recommended consumption: 2026-2034.
Martínez Lacuesta Hinia 2015 – 93 points
For lovers of the most traditional Riojas traditional
From vineyards in Fonzaleche and Villalba, this Reserva combines Tempranillo with 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo. Its ageing in American oak brings subtle notes of sweet spices, wrapped in a silky texture with hints of liquorice, tobacco leaf and red fruits. Recommended consumption: 2027-2035.

A Rioja Alta red wine that focuses on fruit rather than oak.
