La Centenaria
A wine produced “as it would have been in times when there were no resources”. Respect and great delicacy from a vineyard dating back to 1921.
La Centenaria comes from a vineyard planted very close to the winery in 1921 in Haro, the birthplace of Rioja.
A vineyard that is a living history of this land’s relationship with wine.
On a hill overlooking the Ebro, vines of red and white varieties were once planted freely.
A natural way of understanding viticulture that, from the field, sought the elegance and balance of great fino wines for aging.
True to that original intention, we harvest and produce all the varieties together.
We can’t do it any other way if we want to preserve the memory and legacy of those who were here before us to teach us who we are.
The just over 1,000 bottles that come from this vineyard are made in the most careful and respectful way, accompanying the wine in its evolution and growth, faithful to the traditional system, barrel by barrel.
A portrait of the style of an era that will never return and that we want to keep alive.
