On the occasion of our 125th anniversary, we brought together in a book the history of our winery and the family that has sustained it generation after generation. A rigorous, visual and emotional journey that today, coinciding with our 130th anniversary, we decided to put on sale in our online shop. 125 years of work in Haro, in the heart of the Barrio de la Estación, and in the context of a region that has built its identity around wine. You can buy it here.

The book deals with the major milestones of Martínez Lacuesta: the beginnings in Calle de la Vega, the key figure of Félix Martínez Lacuesta, his role in the defence of the Rioja origin, the first exports, the creation of vermouth, the decades of consolidation, the construction of the new winery in Paraje de Ubieta, and the continuity of a project that has managed to evolve without losing its roots.

But this volume is more than the history of a winery. It is also a reflection of the history of Rioja over more than a century. Through photographs, labels, unpublished archives and anecdotes from each period, it reconstructs the transformation of a land, a winemaking model and a way of understanding wine.

There is also a place in the book for memory. For that which is preserved on paper, in bottles and in decisions which, seen over time, reveal their importance. For those who have been part of history without making the headlines. For what is only transmitted if someone stops to tell it.

A special edition for those who really want to know the history of a winery, and of an entire region. Remember, you can already buy it in our online shop.
