Our Vermut Reserva gets a makeover: new image, same essence
We were the first winery in La Rioja to age vermouth in oak barrels.

At Martínez Lacuesta we have been making vermouth in La Rioja since 1937, a milestone that makes us pioneers in the region. Our winery, founded in 1895 by Félix Martínez Lacuesta, has maintained its family character and commitment to quality for over 135 years, adapting to changes without losing its essence.
Our innovative spirit led us to become the first Rioja winery to age vermouth in oak barrels, applying the same dedication as in the ageing of our great Rioja wines. This process adds complexity, depth and an unmistakable character, making our vermouth a reference both nationally and internationally.
This year we have taken another step forward in our evolution with the restyling of the label of our vermouth. This design renews our image respecting the original essence of the historical labels, achieving a perfect harmony between the new image and the previous one.
With this change, we seek to reinforce our identity and connect with those who value authentic products with history. A balance between past and present that reinforces the personality of our vermouth.

Made with a secret formula combining up to 24 herbs and spices, it remains a symbol of dedication and excellence. To the traditional and artisan way of making our vermouth, we add a short ageing period of 7 months in new French Allier oak barrels with a medium toasting. The result is a bitter, aromatic, intensely coloured vermouth, with a roasted background and that peculiar flavour that reminds us of traditional vermouth.
