As 2023 draws to a close, it is time to look back and reflect on a significant year for Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta. Despite almost 130 years looking back at us from Haro, this year has had a crucial significance in our history, marked by important advances and achievements that we would like to share with all of you, in your dual role as customers and collaborators.

We have worked tirelessly on the evolution of our wine range with the inclusion of new products in the Campeador series, the launch of our new packaging and corporate website, and the remarkable growth in international sales. In addition, we are celebrating the expansion of our distribution network with 15 new partners, a significant step in our continued expansion.

We are proud to share these achievements with you and want to thank you for being part of this exciting journey that we have often described as a true Back to the Future. As we prepare for our 130th anniversary in 2025, we look forward to continuing to count on your company as we move towards something much more promising.

Development of the Wine Range

This year, Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta has made important advances in the definition and enrichment of our range of wines. After careful deliberations and tests, we have established the definitive range with which we face this new future, a new status in which our additions to the Campeador range stand out, especially Campeador Viura and Campeador Garnacha.

Presentations and Marketing

2023 has been a year of renewal in terms of our image and approach to the market. We have redesigned the packaging of our wines, looking for a presentation that clearly identifies our history and our origin. We decided not to discover great things but to look to the past to redesign what we believe best represents us.

All of this also had to be reflected in a new corporate website that would capture our true essence to create a whole that would guide everything that sets us apart: history, philosophy and image. You can see our new website at: www.martinezlacuesta.com

Expansion of the Distribution Network

This year marked a milestone in the expansion of our national presence. With the addition of 15 new partners, we have been able to increase our presence and visibility in the national market as a reflection of our commitment to it.

International Growth

The year 2023 has been a year of unprecedented success on the international stage. We have more than doubled our sales compared to 2021, thanks to the addition of new importers and reference customers. This growth has also been driven by strengthening relationships with our existing customers, who have welcomed the new path we have just embarked on.

Acknowledgements

Our efforts and the quality of our wines have been recognised on numerous occasions this year. Various media have echoed this new stage and the wines are beginning to receive the recognition of the critics and the specialised press, which has translated into new scores that demonstrate the acceptance of the effort made. All this has happened in a year that is coming to an end and we are already looking forward to the celebration of our 130th anniversary in 2025, which makes us even more grateful and proud of the achievements that the whole team and the family of Bodegas Martínez Lacuesta are gradually reaching.
